I used the word brilliant and brilliantly once too often. Looks like I'll need to invest in a thesaurus. Miss you, my sister!

I'm not sure why you're wondering about the word 'banality'. There's not a hint of it here!

I love your brother's photo and the painting you've made of it. Your lake scene is beautiful, as well.

I love Ury's nocturnal work, too. I marvel at that skill.

And the Grimshaws are flat-out gorgeous!

But it's that last picture that made me smile, along with your words. I bought it as a greeting card years ago and framed it because, of course I believe in fairies! ❤️

I used to get a fairy tale book every year from Santa Claus - all Andrew Lang in various colors, Purple Fairy Book, Yellow Fairy Book and Blue. You get the picture. And I'd sit on the floor after opening presents and start the book, cramming chocolate covered cream drops from my stocking into my mouth and reading my book while marking it with chocolate fingerprints. I hope children still have a little time to use their imagination before giving it to Disney movies.

A lovely vision. I went for enchantment when I was a child and my mother encouraged it. I was an only child until I was nine, and by that time I was comfortable with being alone with my fantasies. I'm 86 now and in so many ways I refuse to grow up.

Fairy tales and fantasy are never far away.
